How to Increase Traffic & Advertise Your Web Page??

Internet Marketing .. Tips
Internet marketing became the new online trend, as more people are using the Internet companies began to target customers using online tools. In my previous post 'Social Media Facts That Made Me Go: WOW!' I mentioned that There was an increase of 14% in the number of Internet users worldwide in 2010. And it will continue on increasing… which means more companies are going to join the Internet Marketing trend and it will become a competitive market.

But how to get customers/ audience attention and awareness in such a competitive market?
Well, I did some research and I found some useful tips for companies to achieve effective marketing.
Internet Marketing is useful for established and new
brands, as it can serve them equally if they did it in the right way. Here are the most effective/ common ways to get customers' attention:
1. Website! Every company/business should have a website, its the best way to show and allow potential customers to find out more about you and your products/services. Also, they will be able to view your updates and offerings. Of course its up to you if you want to make your website trendy and add stuff that can attract Internet users.
2. Blogging! Its a very effective online communication tool between the clients and staff. Also, its informal so it encourages two-way communication (Push and Pull)

3. Email Marketing… Allows you to keep your name on top of the clients' mind. Keeping them updated and allows them to contact you whenever they need you. In the main website clients should always be asked to give their emails if they are interested, and even when they physically go to the shops it should be recommended that they leave their emails.
4. Social Media Marketing… Like I said in my previous post its one of the MOST powerful and dominant online marketing tools. By joining social networks, like: Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, you are creating an online community for your target audience where they can join your page and feel like a part of this company. Its all about quick communications and updates which are related to PR, promotions and any thoughts really - its easy!
5. Search engine optimization and marketing. People use search engines very often a few times a week, daily and maybe even a few times a day! Personally I use Google like at least twice a day!!
Its important for companies to rank high on search engines and if you don't (because it isn't easy) you can always use search engine marketing which is basically having your company/brand's name appear in search results of specific words.
6. Mobile application. I think everyone now has a mobile even 8 year olds! Only those who live in a jungle don't have one!! Again in my previous post 'Social Media Facts That Made Me Go: WOW!' I wrote that 'By 2010, there are more than 5 Billion mobile connections in the world!!! companies should take advantage of this wide spread of mobile and create mobile applications to promote for the products, show your nearest branches, send offers and promotions. Applications are mostly useful for those who own iPhones. But this doesn't mean that others should be left out of the pictures, you can still use SMS to update them.
I hope you find these tips useful! I think they are all easy to do and if companies apply at least two or three of them they will cover a wide range of their target audience and they will reach them. We live in a technological, advanced world so everyone should take a step towards this advancement and be a part of it!

What is Digital Marketing?

Here's a definition that I combined through my research to define 'Digital Marketing' :
Digital marketing is a term that was created with the technological advancements our world is experiencing, the more technology is advanced the more digital marketing becomes spread and used. Its a wide term which includes a lot of mediums and uses.
Some mediums which are used in Digital Marketing are: E-mail, RSS, Voice broadcast, Fax broadcast, blogs, videos, Wireless text messaging and search engines.
As for the uses of Digital marketing include: advertising, following the technological trends, and creating online advertising campaigns which are interactive. Also, Digital Marketing facilitates the communication between companies and customers.
While I was searching for a definition to Digital Marketing the words 'Push' and 'Pull' kept on appearing. Push and Pull is what Digital Marketing is all about, as companies can use it to 'Push' information via email, RSS, or voice broadcast. On the other hand companies can 'Pull' content by searching a banner ad and Pay Per Click search items. The combination of Push and Pull is a perfect example of how technologies and digitalization enhances marketing campaigns. (1)
